Use Potential, or UP, started with a  straightforward idea that we discovered in Doris Lessing's novel The Story of General Dann, Mara's Daughter, Griot and the Snow Dog.

 

At arrival, each person who gets to a refugee camp is asked "What is the most important thing you know?".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In our real-life version of this simple yet ingenious idea, we ask people at arrival to their new host country, no matter if it's a camp or not: 

 

"What can you offer to your community?"
